The Parish...
The parish of Bredon and Bredons Norton consists of Bredon village; the
village of Bredon's Norton and the three smaller villages of Westmancote,
Kinsham and Bredon's Hardwick. The parish lies on the southern edge of the
county of Worcester, west of the Cotswolds, it is bounded on the west by the
River Avon and on the south by the Carrant Brook.
The parish, at the 2001 census, had a population of 2,720 - of which a fraction over half lived in Bredon
itself; with 2.34 people per household there were 1,155 households in total.
This population is forecast to increase by 5.5% at the time of the next
census in 2011. This population makes us one of the
largest parishes in the county of Worcestershire. Within the overall figure
some 20% are 0-16 years; 60% are 18-65 years with the remaining 20% being
over 65 years; a population spread, which is forecast to generally maintain.
